Judy Purman has worked in the environmental sector for the last twenty years helping companies of all sizes achieve their goals in environmental stewardship and compliance, program development and implementation, and employee training.
Ms Purman has been a contributing writer for such publications as The Journal of Environmental Horticulture and Biocycle Magazine. She is an elected member of the Board of Directors for the United States Composting Council, a trade and professional organization involved in research, education, market expansion and promotion for the compost industry (www.compostingcouncil.org). She is also the appointed Chair of the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency’s Environmental Innovations Advisory Council, which advises the MPCA Commissioner on policy, programs and legislation in pollution prevention, waste reduction, reuse, recycling and resource conservation.
Currently, Ms. Purman works as Sustainability Specialist for Sebesta Blomberg in Roseville, MN (www.sebesta.com). She works with institutional, municipal and industrial clients to develop sustainability master plans designed to reduce their carbon footprint. This includes strategies to identify and manage key operations that tie energy savings, solid waste management practices and overall policies to greenhouse gas emission reductions. She lives with her family in St. Paul, Minnesota.
